Barefoot Books

Andy Piccos & John D Reid @ Stitchin Business

The Project:

Our client, an American children’s book company, is setting up offices and bookshop in Oxford and we were approached to create some tent installations for the shop as well as some other furnishings.

It took a couple of months for them to get their fabric artwork finalised, digitally printed and then flame-proofed to UK standards and then shipped to us at our Highbury Studio for us to get the work done.

5 tents of varying sizes and opening to be created in what had become an overshot deadline (all the US’s doing I’ll add). We turned it around in 16 days along with 3 8foot diameter tablecloths and a valance and curtains for the “throne” story telling area.

Phew! Now we are working on a 4 ft diameter padded crown “lampshade” to set off the till area.

A very colourful job indeed
