Installations for a children’s bookshop

Client:

Barefoot Books

Created:

Andy Piccos & John D Reid @ Stitchin Business

The Project:

Our client, an American children’s book company, is setting up offices and bookshop in Oxford and we were approached to create some tent installations for the shop as well as some other furnishings.

It took a couple of months for them to get their fabric artwork finalised, digitally printed and then flame-proofed to UK standards and then shipped to us at our Highbury Studio for us to get the work done. In fact the fabric arrived 15 days after the tents were supposed to be installed!

5 tents of varying sizes and openings to be created – we turned it around in 16 days along with three 8 foot diameter tablecloths and a valance and curtains for the “throne” story telling area.

Phew!

Now we are working on a 4 ft diameter padded crown “lampshade” to set off the cashiers/wrap area
